I have started this petition as Facebook does not consider pages which promote and display Dog Fighting videos, as violating their terms of conditions.
Facebook considers graphic 'animal on animal' violence as acceptable, and feel it conforms to their so called 'Community Standards'.
What Facebook seem incapable of understanding, is that this 'animal on animal' violence is perpetrated by humans; the dogs didn't get together and arrange the fight, they were forced into it; and the pig that had it's throat ripped out, didn't tie itself to a fence and invite the dogs into the pen.
I and many others, have reported groups who display these horrendous videos of terrified dogs forced to fight for their lives, these images are heartbreaking and make you wonder what sort of person could do this to an animal, but Facebook think its 'acceptable'. Here is their reply to my reporting of one of these extremely graphic groups:
'Thank you for your recent report of a potential violation on Facebook.
After reviewing your report, we were not able to confirm that the specific group you reported violates Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.
Learn more about what we do and don't allow by reviewing the Facebook Community Standards: https://www.facebook.com/communitystandards
I actually wonder if they even bothered to look at the page, because if they did, how could they possibly say watching animals having chunks of flesh bitten off, and dying a slow and agonising death 'acceptable'?
I hope that by collecting enough signatures we can force Facebook to rid their site of these evil groups.
Please sign this petition and share it with your friends, we need to make Facebook accountable for it's promotion of animal abuse, because no matter what they say, that's what it is, animal abuse.
