Ban All Noise Bearing Fireworks. 

If you've ever looked into the eyes of a terrified animal directly after a firework, and tried to console their boundless terror, absolute empathy for them and absolute indignation towards those setting off the firework is the natural and correct emotion. 

How can we be custodians of this earth yet selfishly negate the fact that we are animals just as much as the arthropod and the antelope,the bacteria and the blackbird. We are nature, indubitably and unequivocally. 

How dare we frighten animals, literally to death for the sake of a bang. How dare we betray the trust of our beloved pets, how dare we torture animals in anthropocentric apathy. All noise bearing fireworks must be banned. 

For every lacklustre 'wow' or 'oooo', a thousand animals suffer pain beyond our gamut of understanding.

Use and sell fireworks that are silent only; ban those that make a noise. Let us not fall foul to nievity or hubris that fireworks are 'not a big issue'. Let us teach our children respect and empathy; for the sake of our consciousness, the moral zeitgeist, and the betterment of all life. Being nicer to animals is the only way forward; urgent action must be taken to protect those whom we nonchalantly murder, maim and frighten with fireworks. 

Animals don't know, and don't care, at the difference between display ones at organised events and private ones. You can't sit a Hedgehog down and explain to it that this is an organised event, so not to worry. 

For the betterment of all life on this planet, and our symbiosis with it. Ban all noise bearing fireworks. 

Every small change we make borne on changing winds of kindness will echo in our children's ears. As our planet teeters on the cusp of ecocide, let us prove to ourselves, and the animals around us, that kindness can still prevail.

Every act of kindness counts! Let us not meander into supercilious oblivion, let us at least make one steadfast change towards being better. Yet banning all noise bearing fireworks must only be the first tentative step towards capacious change. 

My dogs deserve better in their short yet infinitely precious lives!
