The Issue

New management company took over apartment complex in August of 2018. By October 2018 after management sent tenants email of taking care of cats and all potential pests around property many cats started disappearing. They claimed to be working with local rescue and the Department of Health. Many tenants noticed the cats disappearing and were heart broken.  Live kittens and mothers were shut in crawl spaces with locks on them. A man in HazMat suit was seen putting poison in cat food and placed in crawl spaces. Dead cats, skunks, squirrels, and other wildlife were found dead through out the complex. One tenant said her cat of 7 years was also poisoned by management. She is so heartbroken but afraid to take action for fear of retaliation. Most of the killings were done out of sight using crawl spaces to mass kill the animals. Management threatened tenants with eviction. The cats and kittens were killed inhumanely. One had a broken arm, another a broken jaw, another crushed to death. Illegal leg hold traps were used. Recently a mother raccoon and 2 of her babies were found dead inside wall. We are asking for relocation records, adoption records, shelter records as they claim. We want charges, fines, and arrests. Belleville is a TNR town with ordinance and Woodlands chose to kill innocent animals savagely.
