The explosive growth of Amazon.com and other massive tech firms has exacerbated issues such as displacement, homelessness, traffic, and overall cost of living in Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Now Amazon is searching for a city for their second headquarters and are expecting major tax giveaways and subsidies from the cities that are bidding.

Atlanta is a top contender and Mayor Kasim Reed has already promised unprecedented giveaways to Amazon "...we put forth more incentives than we’ve ever put forward in the history of the city"

There is no way we should be using our taxes to fund our own displacement and accelerate the already growing issues of affordability and equity in Atlanta.

Tell Mayor Reed, Governor Nathan Deal, and the Atlanta City council that we aren't going to shoulder the costs of this tech giant.
