Ask Pres. Obama and Atty Gen. to Stop AT&T from acquiring T-Mobile

The Issue

If the acquistion of T-Mobile goes through, there will be only two effective competitors for mobile phone/data service in the United States: AT&T and Verizon (formerly GTE). History shows that a duopoly (forget Sprint) will lead to higher consumer prices (that's all of us) and, a bit later, to lack of innovation and sloppy service by both of the duopolists. So, please join this petition, and call upon the Obama administration to investigate, through the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice, the anit-competitive effect of this proposed acquisition and stop it.
