*** This petition is simply to demonstrate member demand to Nuffield Health Guiseley. It is not asking the government to change the law or force a private business to alter its opening hours. The aim is to encourage Nuffield Health to review opening times, or to trial it, if there is sufficient member demand. ***

I am a dedicated member of the Nuffield Health Guiseley gym and I truly value my morning workouts. With a busy work schedule that often stretches late into the evening, the early morning hours are the only time I can consistently commit to my fitness routine. However, the current opening time at 6:30 AM during the week is limiting, causing unnecessary stress and time constraints for myself and numerous other early risers in our community.

Many residents of Guiseley, like me, have work commitments that start early in the day. An opening time of 6:30 AM barely provides us with enough time to exercise, shower, and reach our workplaces on time. By opening the gym at 6 AM, Nuffield Health Guiseley would show remarkable consideration towards many of its members who are seeking flexibility in the current schedule to better accommodate their professional lives. This would be in line with the 6AM opening time of other “out-of-town” Nuffield Health Gyms.

Staff start at 6AM in Guiseley to prepare for opening therefore options are available for negotiation given the chance for feedback and discussion with members.

Having spoken to other members, there is also a need to look at improving hours over the weekend as a premium wellbeing centre which is comes at a premium price.

Furthermore, a review of opening times could potentially attract new members who face similar schedule conflicts, thereby benefiting the gym's membership and revenue.

I believe that with enough support, we can persuade Nuffield Health to consider this small but impactful change. This adjustment would allow more members to maintain a consistent fitness regimen, improve community health outcomes, and support the well-being of individuals trying to balance work, life, and health.
