After being diagnosed with endometriosis last year, I have become more aware through reading and research of the devastating effects of this condition. Not only does it take on average 8 years to be diagnosed but for many this condition takes away the chance of becoming a mother.

being 37 already reduces my chances of motherhood and now with endometriosis, fertility issues are even more likely. Not only have I lost control of my body and suffer each month, I now have to accept time is running out.

like many other women, I have chosen to wait and I find myself not ready or in the right situation to become pregnant now, however; my biological clock ticks louder and reminds me of reality. 

1 in 10 women are diagnosed with endometriosis and these are just the cases we know of… there needs to be change to help support those who suffer, not only physically and emotionally but also with the prospect of never being able to become a parent. 

Help and support to freeze eggs could be life changing and allow endometriosis sufferers a better chance at parenthood: a basic and very human right.
