Improve SEQ Public Transport for the 2032 Olympics

Improve SEQ Public Transport for the 2032 Olympics
The issue
Currently, public transport in South East Queensland (SEQ) is badly lacking, however, Brisbane wants to host an olympic games in 2032 and the network will recieve few upgrades. In the games concept, instead of investing in better public transport to venues in order to host the games, the QLD government is investing in more road upgrades to prepare for the Olympic games, which will lead to inadequate transport during the games, heavy reliance on buses (which failed miserably in the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games) and encouragement of driving cars after the games finish. Upgrades in the Concept for the Olympics Infrastructure include the Coomera Connector, Warrego Highway Upgrade, Pacific Motorway Upgrade, Bruce Highway Upgrade and Centenary Motorway Upgrade. Many of these run adjacent to current or future rail and mass transit corridors, most of which will not recieve upgrades (excluding Beerburum-Nambour and new bus lanes in Brisbane's east).
I am requesting for the Queensland Government to prioritise rail projects to Toowoomba, Beaudesert (via Flagstone), Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore/Sunshine Coast Airport), Ipswich (via Ripley) and Northshore Hamilton, alongside extension of the Eastern Busway to Capalaba, instead of road projects, as seen in the current Concept for the games. These public transport upgrades would provide vastly improved transportation for visitors to Olympic venues and Athlete Villages and reduce reliance on cars for residents in the future.
To summarise stated on an article by Brizcommuter, "The 2032 Olympics is a fantastic opportunity to transform SE Queensland with an improved public transport legacy. The current plans are the polar opposite. Failure to deliver, will cause transport woes and car reliance for decades to come."
