Like all graduates, 2020 graduates worked extremely hard towards their degree with a lot of us dreaming of our graduation day.

With having to complete our final year of university online whilst dealing with the uncertainty and chaos of the pandemic, we never got the chance to celebrate our final moments in education with our peers, friends or lecturers.
We’re all aware of the COVID situation, however it is unfair that the moment all of us graduates dreamt of, and one that we worked hard towards for 3 years is being taken away from us, especially when later graduates will have their ceremony commence whilst 2020 graduates have to give up theirs. 

The aim of this petition is to get Anglia Ruskin University to withhold and postpone our ceremony until it can be done in the proper manner. Collectively as a cohort, we are all in agreement that we rather wait until a proper ceremony can be arranged than have our once in a lifetime event be passed off on a less than satisfactory zoom call. 
If a “reunion” day can be held to celebrate our achievements at a later date, then surely our ceremony as a whole can be rescheduled.
