An URGENT Request To Mor Severios Kuriakose Metropolitan:

We the undersigned clergy and laity of Knanaya Community would like to express our dismay and disbelief at the latest move of the Knanaya Committee and Mor Severios Metropolitan to amend the well-codified and wisely guided Knanaya Constitution drafted and implemented by Late Lamented Mor Clemis Abraham Metropolitan and the community loving wise leaders of his generation.

Forgetting our roots and discarding the facts of our migration from Edessa – To evangelize Malankara – at the orders of the Bava (Patriarch), it is a shame on us even to think in our wildest thoughts to disown and rebuke our Supreme Head of the Church, Holy Patriarch of Antioch and All the East.

The Knanaya posterity will never forgive any individuals, let that be Metropolitans, Priests or office bearers who have changed or attempted to change their proud history and basic faith.

Hence, we the below signed persons proclaim our unflinching faith in the reigning Holy Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and condemn and rebuke any and all attempts to discredit and devalue our dignity and age-old faith. We firmly demand to abandon all efforts to amend the existing constitution.

We request Metropolitan Mor Severios Kuriakose with whose permission the Association is being held, to withdraw the permission issued to convene an Association to Amend the present constitution
