I, like many others, purchased tickets for my family to the Paris 2024 Games under the impression that we would be able to watch the opening ceremony for free, as had been promoted by the organizers for more than two years (still on their official website to-date: https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024/the-games/ceremonies/opening-ceremony 

We recently learned from sources like AP, however, that tourists around the world are no longer permitted to attend the opening ceremony for free. This change in policy, has left many in a difficult situation and feeling deceived.

This policy not only affects my family but also thousands of other international tourists who planned their trips to Paris in 2024, banking on the promises made by the organizers. Given the scale and prestige of the Olympics, it is crucial for the organizers to uphold principle of fairness and transparency in all their dealings.

Therefore, we are urging the Paris 2024 Organizers to revise their ticket cancellation policy. We are asking for the right to cancel our orders and get the refund, given the sudden shift regarding the opening ceremony. This change not only affects our plans but also has significant financial implications for many of us who would have chosen differently had we been given the correct information.
