Allow Tinted Car Windows in New Hampshire

The Issue

As car owners in Dover, NH, we believe that we should be allowed to have tinted windows on our vehicles. Currently, the state of New Hampshire only allows for a maximum of 70% tint on the front side windows. We believe that this restriction is unnecessary and unfair.

Tinted windows provide numerous benefits for car owners. They can help to reduce glare from the sun while driving, which can improve visibility and safety on the road. Additionally, they can help to keep cars cooler during hot summer months by blocking out some of the sun's heat.

Contrary to popular belief, tinted windows do not pose a significant risk to law enforcement officers or other drivers on the road. According to a study conducted by The National Institute of Justice (NIJ), there is no evidence that suggests that window tinting leads to an increase in crime or accidents.

Furthermore, many states across America allow for darker window tints than what is currently permitted in New Hampshire. For example, neighboring states Maine and Massachusetts both allow tinting on the front two windows.

We urge lawmakers in Dover, NH to reconsider their stance on window tints and allow car owners more freedom when it comes to personalizing their vehicles. Allowing darker tints would not only benefit drivers but also contribute positively towards reducing carbon emissions as air conditioning usage will decrease with cooler interiors due to reduced sunlight entering through vehicle glass surfaces.

Therefore we request you sign this petition if you support our cause!
