Allow students to wear scarves at St Columba's College
The issue
hi guys, be respectful, do not insult or make inappropriate comments. I do not take responsibility for the remarks
Recently, our school changed scarves from part of the uniform to an “outdoor garment,” meaning students are no longer allowed to wear them inside. While this may seem like a small change, it has made a big difference for students trying to stay warm during cold school days.
Many classrooms, hallways, and common areas can feel freezing, especially during winter mornings. Scarves are not distracting, unsafe, or disruptive — they are a simple way for students to stay comfortable and focused in class. When students are cold, it becomes harder to concentrate and learn effectively.
We believe students should be allowed to wear plain school-approved scarves indoors during colder weather. This change would support student comfort and wellbeing without negatively affecting the uniform policy or school environment.
By signing this petition, you are supporting a fair and practical adjustment to the rules so students can stay warm and focused at school.
