The issue

In the chilly winter months here at Overnewton College, sitting in a cold classroom becomes a daily challenge. We, the students, are expected to focus on our education, but often find ourselves distracted by the uncomfortable cold we're forced to endure. Despite the cold, we're not permitted to wear scarves that could help us stay warm and improve our concentration during lessons.

Studies have shown that students learn better when they're not affected by external discomforts, such as extreme temperatures. A warm learning environment has been proven to enhance academic performance, concentration, and overall satisfaction with the learning experience. Yet, without the simple allowance to wear scarves, our ability to learn is hindered, leaving us, literally, out in the cold.

Our request is practical and straightforward: allow the students of Overnewton to wear scarves in class. Scarves are a safe and non-disruptive means of retaining body heat, and should be a permissible addition to our school attire during the cold season. By letting us wear scarves, you would be fostering a more comfortable and conducive space for learning.

It's not merely about comfort; it's about creating an environment where students can thrive academically. By agreeing to this reasonable request, Overnewton can demonstrate its commitment to student well-being and educational success.

We urge the school administration and decision-makers to reconsider this policy. Sign this petition to support Overnewton students in our quest for a warmer, more inviting classroom atmosphere, where we can excel without the distraction of discomfort. Make the change for better learning conditions, starting with the simple addition of scarves.
