Increase intake of diploma to degree students 2020-2021
The Issue
In 2019-2020 guidelines issued by AICTE, there has been substantial reduction of seats for diploma engineering to degree engineering i.e 20% to 10%.
30% of Diploma holder wasn’t able to seek admission due to reduction of seats in the year 19-20.
Due to Pandemic MahaGov (Maharashtra)decided to conduct Exam of Final year students over virtual platform mode of exam-MCQ. As result were declared on 3rd November 2020, 90% candidates appeared for exam cleared the exam and 70% students appeared scored 80% aggregate and above. Which is going to be stressful for students and parents because of Competition. Candidates who was not able to seek admission due to reduction of seat last year 2019-2020 have 60%70% aggregate and were looking forward to get admission the year 2020-21.
This year due to Change in exam mode and high number of Candidates clearing the examination Competition for seats has been increased. And due to less seats, students may not get there desirable college or even doesn’t get admission.
We student of Diploma want Justice and ask Gov of Maharashtra, AICTE to increase intake by 50%of Diploma candidates to Degree engineering seats for the academic year 2020-2021.
