AICTE

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is a national-level regulatory body that oversees and monitors the standards and guidelines for technical education in India. Established in November 1945, AICTE's primary focus is to plan and coordinate the development of technical education and to maintain high standards in the field. It approves new colleges and courses, allocates funding to educational institutions, outlines curriculums, and enforces quality control throughout the nation's technical institutions. It operates under the Department of Higher Education within the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
