AFRICAN UNION CEASE AND DESIST

AFRICAN UNION CEASE AND DESIST
The Issue
To Whom It May Concern at the African Union,
We, the Indigenous Black Americans — the descendants of the original people of this land now known as the United States of America — stand in solemn unity and strength to issue this formal Cease and Desist notice.
We do not approach you with ignorance, confusion, or blind acceptance. We come with truth, clarity, ancestral authority, and righteous indignation. We are speaking not only for ourselves but on behalf of our ancestors, our children, and all Indigenous Black Americans who have been abused, erased, and exploited — by global powers, colonial systems, and yes, even by Africa itself.
THE TRUTH IS NO LONGER HIDDEN
We are not African. We are not African Americans. We are Indigenous to the Americas.
Our ancestors were on this land long before the Atlantic Slave Trade. We were already here, and many of our people were enslaved from state to state within America — not shipped from Africa.
Some of our ancestors were forcibly deported to Africa, not because they were African, but as part of an agenda to erase our history and sever us from our land.
We are the Freedmen, the Indigenous tribes, the original people who walked the Trail of Tears, who were targeted and displaced under the Indian Removal Act.
We are the copper-colored people referenced in early texts — the Negros of the Americas — not African migrants, but natives who were reclassified, enslaved, and stripped of our identity.
We are the Prisoners of War. Yes — this was war. The capture, removal, enslavement, reclassification, and genocide of our people was not immigration or migration — it was warfare, and we are the survivors still being held within enemy lines.
Our tribes were dismantled, our names changed, our culture suppressed — and today we remain under occupation, still fighting for recognition, land, and justice.
WE KNOW THE TRUTH THEY TRIED TO ERASE
We are fully aware of the role of Walter Plecker, the former head of the Virginia Bureau of Vital Statistics, who deliberately reclassified thousands of Indigenous Black Americans as “colored” or “Negro” to eliminate legal recognition of our tribes and strip us of our land.
His actions were part of a national campaign of erasure, ensuring that Indigenous Americans with melanin were rebranded as African, despite generations of deep roots on this soil.
This was not an error. This was a coordinated paper genocide. And we see it now for what it was.
AFRICA, YOU DO NOT SPEAK FOR US
The African Union has continuously misrepresented Black Americans to global leaders, falsely claiming ancestral connection and heritage to secure reparations, political leverage, and resources — resources that never reach us. This is fraudulent, disrespectful, and must stop immediately.
We will not allow Africa to profit from our pain.
We will not allow Africa to speak on our behalf in global meetings, reparations talks, or cultural discussions.
We demand that the African Union stop using Indigenous Black American history as a bargaining chip for global benefit.
We are not African. Our roots are here. Our blood is in this soil.
You did not fight for our freedom. You did not march with us. You did not build America.
YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM
Africa’s role in the slave trade, its silence in our suffering, and its continued disrespect and exploitation of our communities make it complicit in our ongoing oppression.
You sold our ancestors, and then watched in silence as they were raped, tortured, enslaved, and displaced.
You have done nothing to repair the damage, and instead continue to blend into our communities, take our culture, open businesses in our neighborhoods, and disrespect us to our faces.
You claim unity based on skin tone while ignoring our unique history, culture, and identity.
You stand in rooms and take money in our name, while we, the true heirs of this struggle, receive nothing.
OUR DEMANDS ARE SIMPLE AND FINAL
We are not asking — we are demanding:
The African Union must immediately CEASE AND DESIST from making public or private declarations on behalf of Black Americans.
You must publicly acknowledge that not all Black people in America originate from Africa.
You must stop using our history, trauma, and struggle to access reparations, land, or political favor.
You must stop claiming cultural ties that do not exist and withdrawing financial or social benefits in our name.
An official APOLOGY must be issued for centuries of complicity and recent ongoing cultural exploitation.
LET THE RECORD SHOW
We are not Moors. We are not Israelites. We are not Africans. We are Indigenous Black Americans — the copper-colored people, the Negros, the Prisoners of War, the Freedmen.
We are the descendants of those who fought and died for every right Black people have today — and we are still fighting.
We have fed traitors, respected outsiders, loved everyone — but now it is time to love and defend ourselves.
We are the Indians who walked the Trail of Tears.
We are the targets of the Indian Removal Act.
We are the people whose identities were erased by men like Walter Plecker.
We are not African, and we reject any false unity based solely on skin tone.
No more lies. No more theft. No more silence.
This is your formal and final notice:
CEASE AND DESIST IMMEDIATELY, or face exposure, legal challenge, and international accountability.
Respectfully but firmly,
The Indigenous Black Americans
On behalf of:
Our ancestors
Our children
Our communities
Our land
Our legacy
