As a student currently in Year 12, I feel invisible in the most important year of our high school life. We do 13 years of schooling to be discarded? abounded? not though about? Remembering how previous Year 12s had memorable experiences, I imagined our year would harbor the same cherished memories, filled with events that brought everyone together to celebrate our accomplishments. However, this hasn't been the case, leaving many of us disillusioned and disappointed.

Due to the actions of our school principal, Miss Robb, there have been no events planned for us. Instead, they were outright canceled, erasing any opportunity for us to bond and celebrate as a cohort for our final year. It's concerning and hurtful to see that the acknowledgment, excitement, and community spirit that define this pivotal year in our lives are completely absent.

Year 12 is not only about exams; it's about celebrating friendships, acknowledging the hard work over years, and creating memories that last a lifetime. These events create a sense of culmination and closure that eases the transition into adulthood and future endeavors. Unfortunately, this has been stripped away from us. Just like events for us getting denied, denied, denied by Miss Robb. 

The lack of events isn't just an oversight; it’s a symptom of recurring negligence towards student engagement and morale. When previous Year 12 cohorts were provided with opportunities to bond and celebrate, their experience and life-long skills were enriched. Why should this be any different for us?

We ask for immediate action from our school administration to rectify this situation. This includes reinstating previously canceled events, planning new initiatives, and ensuring that each Year 12 cohort is given the opportunity to experience a fulfilling final year. Who wants to end 13 years with no appreciation? 

We require our school administration and Miss Robb to prioritize the importance of these events, acknowledging their impact on student well-being and future success.
