We all know that the Coronavirus epidemic has wreaked havoc on the tourism and hospitality sectors over the past two years. This has especially been felt in Adelaide's CBD and other tourism hubs. What Adelaide needs is a project of revitalisation, to bring people from the suburbs back to the city, and the widely scattered Adelaide diaspora back to Adelaide. What Adelaide needs is to make its greatest icon even greater. What Adelaide needs is a third ball for the Mall's balls.

The original artist, Bert Flugelman, always wished for the 'Spheres' to be interactive. It would honour the artist's memory to help his sculpture even higher into the sky. As Adelaidians, it will help YOU to be able to spot this iconic landmark from even further away.

To the Adelaide City Council, please, for the love of God, hear us. We've all had such a tough time over the past couple of years, and it would make thousands of people so happy. You have the power to do this. It sounds simple - almost too simple. But it is the simplicity of genius. The balls are coming to their 50th anniversary - that will be too late. It will bring great shame if the number of balls has stagnated for so long. Thank you.
