There is huge potential for some emojis, including the L emoji. The proposed emoji would be a hand making a fist, except the pointer finger is pointing up and the thumb is pointing outward making an "L" shape. Emojis allow us to express emotions we can't express with words. This symbol is used frequently in modern culture, so why not incorporate it into our texts?
