Please support the efforts to abolish the Galveston City Marshal. 

This department was set up to serve as a unified enforcement division dedicated to enhance the lives of Galvestonians through fair and impartial enforcement of city ordinances. The City Marshal's office oversees code enforcement, ground transportation enforcement, alarm, golf cart permits, residential parking permits and parking operations. 

This is not what this department is doing. They have gone to extreme measures harassing many small local business and individuals.  Butch Stroud was appointed in July 2019 and has been bullying businesses ever since.  His tactics are making it very difficult for them to operate on the Island.  By closing their operations and ticketing them with no warning, he has cost respectful citizens and residents thousands of dollars. There is nothing fair about the way this department handles minor issues that could be easily resolved.  They are rude, disrespectful and unprofessional.  When asked questions their answer is "because I said".  There are many videos evidencing their unethical behavior.  There is no integrity within this department and our local businesses and residents are suffering from their acts. 

Support our effort to abolish this department and terminate Butch Stroud as City Marshal, so we can operate without fear of them constantly threatening our Galveston citizens and businesses that are the backbone of our beautiful Island.
