A life saving alert for all human beings.

The Issue

In 1996, the Amber Alert was created in Texas, after the abduction and brutal murder of 9 yr old Amber Hagerman. It was intended as an "early" alert system in instances of child abductions.

What we are seeking is an alert system that is not just for "child abductions". Our organization, JC Cares USA, knows first hand the perils of the restrictions that goes along with the Amber Alert. In that it is intended for chIldren who have been abducted only. The issue is, who decides if an abduction has taken place? What is the criteria? Who decides if a 13 yr old girl has been abducted, or has just ran away? And if that child ran away, why isn't there still an alert to find them? And what about adults? Why can't they be abducted? And why is there no alert for missing adults?

We have alerts for all kinds of stuff. Alerts for the elderly, mental health, child abduction, parental child abduction, and more. But we have no alert in place for "missing" persons. Does this assume that if there was no abduction, then that missing person is just fine? No, it does not. I have long said that a missing teenager, is in considerable danger.

Missing teens are still children, that can not make the right decisions, allax  the time. Teens are not cognitively, emotionally, or physically, equipped to handle adult situations. So a runaway teen is in great danger. And often times those teens enter into life changing negative activity.

And what about missing adults? Often times, there is something going on that police are not aware of, therefore, delaying search efforts.

We need alerts put in place for people who are "missing", whether by abduction, runaway, or other means. All missing persons deserve the same rights of "serve and protect".

Our organization can not stress enough how important and crucial it is to find missing persons in the first 48 hours.
