We need a different ending to Darling in the Franxx and/ or a couple more seasons that can explore what happened after the ending.

Darling in the Franxx was a great anime series, after finishing it, a lot of people got "Post darling depression" or Post anime depression. The show was amazing but when it came to the ending, the writers messed up and made it not fulfilling, they left all DitF fans unfulfilled, wanting and waiting for more. The series and the manga were both very successful, so I would imagine for their following series, movies or manga to continue being successful. The entire season and especially the first episode were very powerful that hooks in the viewer.

We could have a movie or a mini series that takes off before the unsatisfying ending and changes it to a satisfying one. Kokoro and Mitsuru's memories should come back. VIRM should be defeated by Hiro and ZeroTwo. Hiro and ZeroTwo shouldn't die but instead reunite with the squad on Earth and have their happy ending. They can be reincarnated later in the end of the movie, after they grow old and die with the squad. A spin off show could take off after the reincarnation after their death and change the show from a mecha anime to a show about how they find each other and get together again, Or it could take off after the show immediately, and make a need for the Franxx and let either the old characters or their children ride the Franxx. We could also have a prequel to the season about the Nines and ZeroTwo's time with them or a different prequel or a sequel for the squad's life while rebuilding and repopulating Earth. There are too many ideas and too many opportunities for the show to strive and be a long successful show or at least to stay like the amazing show it is, but with a different ending. I also think that a Darling in the Franxx game would be absolutely amazing if made correctly, sinece it has a lot of good aspects, mecha, romance, customization, friendship and etc.
