Because there is no public data for the total light novels sold, we can only speculate that a few million have been sold, and with the constant pop-up shops and marketing around Eighty-six, we believe that it deserves a second season and Due to no recent updates or announcements for the creation of season 2, the fanbase requests A-1 pictures to start the production and continuation of the series.
