Jain community, which has been though given the minority status in India, does not seem to have received the desired protection. A drastic increase in number of accidents of Jain saints/ monks has been observed during the past few years. Jain community which believes in the principle of 'live and let live' where every life-form how so ever small it may be in size receives respect, however the monks of such community have not been able to live safely. Whether it may be a conspiracy or co-incident, what we desire are measures which would give a degree of safety to monks traveling places by walking, not just for Jain community but for all such saints/ monks. I believe the ministry has experts which are capable enough to find number of ways to give the desired level of protection, what is required is the intention to act.
