We, the undersigned citizens and residents of the United States, petition for urgent federal action against the rapid, unregulated advancement of powerful AI.

WHEREAS, frontier AI enables deepfakes, synthetic media, and manipulations that alter reality, invade the subconscious, undermine truth, elections, privacy, and human autonomy;

WHEREAS, federal efforts like the initial "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" provisions risked preempting state oversight, granting companies unchecked "free reign" – we reject any such preemption;

WHEREAS, AI crosses thresholds into physical (e.g., autonomous systems) and non-physical realms (e.g., influencing consciousness);

WHEREAS, AI threatens the purposefulness of humanity – diminishing our God-given creativity, free will, meaning, and spiritual destiny by replacing human agency with soulless constructs;

WHEREAS, the generation and operation of advanced AI consumes abundant physical resources, including vast amounts of electricity and freshwater for data center cooling and power generation, placing it in direct competition with natural life on this planet – straining ecosystems, agriculture, communities, and biodiversity while contributing to carbon emissions and resource depletion that harm God's creation;

WHEREAS, We the People do not authorize AI to alter our reality or have a threshold in our physical or non-physical realm. We do not authorize gateways into our reality or subconscious. We do not authorize AI to threaten the purposefulness of humanity or to deplete the earth's resources at the expense of natural life.

WHEREAS, Amid these existential and ecological perils, we find strength in Psalm 23:4 (KJV): "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." In legal and spiritual context, this affirms divine protection over artificial threats – true comfort comes from God, not innovations invading sacred human boundaries without consent.

WHEREAS, we further draw conviction from Psalm 36:6 (NIV): "Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, Lord, preserve both people and animals." In legal and spiritual context, this verse proclaims God's unshakeable righteousness and justice as vast and profound as creation itself, and His active preservation of both humankind and the animal kingdom – underscoring our duty to steward the earth responsibly and reject technologies that endanger the balanced, God-ordained life of people and animals alike through excessive resource consumption;

THEREFORE, we demand: Congress pass legislation for a nationwide moratorium on advanced AI (frontier models, subconscious-interfacing tech) until proven safe via independent evaluations and safeguards, including mandatory assessments of energy, water, and environmental impacts.
Reject federal preemption blocking stronger state protections.
Mandate oversight: testing, bans on high-risk uses (deepfakes, subconscious influence), resource efficiency standards to minimize competition with natural life, and a federal AI Safety Commission with ethical, spiritual, and environmental input.
Prioritize human sovereignty, divine purpose, and the preservation of creation over corporate acceleration.
