Government of Nepal

The Government of Nepal is a federal democratic republic, where the President of Nepal serves as the country's head of state and the Prime Minister acts as the head of the government. The entire governmental system is structured by the Constitution of Nepal, enacted in 2015, that divides powers among the legislative, executive, and judiciary branches. Nepal has seven provinces, each with its own provincial assembly and government, contributing to the decentralization of power. Despite its rocky political history, recent years have seen an attempt at achieving political stability within its democratic framework.
