Gian Luca Galletti

Gian Luca Galletti is an Italian politician who is most noted for serving as the country's Minister of the Environment from 2014 to 2018 under the leadership of Matteo Renzi and Paolo Gentiloni. Born in Bologna in 1961, Galletti is a member of the Union of the Centre party. He has an academic background in economics and commerce, graduating from the University of Bologna. Galletti has a long history of political involvement lending his expertise particularly in the fields of the environment and sustainable development.
