Eric J. Holcomb is an American politician and author who currently serves as the 51st Governor of Indiana. A member of the Republican Party, he assumed office in January 2017 after previously serving as the Lieutenant Governor of Indiana under Governor Mike Pence, now former Vice President of the United States. Prior to that, Holcomb had a diverse career in both state and national politics, including working as a senior advisor in the George W. Bush administration. Alongside his political career, he has published two books focused on American history and politics.
