Xdefiant is the first game in a couple years to bring my passion back into game. It has slowly brought my streaming hobby back to life and even made me want to start YouTube and explore other forms of content. The gameplay is satisfying, the no SBMM is refreshing and the games feel real, no rigged or winning or losing due to the game feeling some type of way. I've also me a few dozen players from the community that have been wonderful to game along side with. This game is my current pride and joy on the FPS side of things and it would be more then sad to go. I wish the game was at least given the chance for season 3 to show what they can really do before making this decision. But I don't regret finding this game at all. Thank you xdefiant and everyone who worked on it. And thank you to the players that joined me in doing our part to give the game the attention, love and passion it deserves.
Ubisoft,
This game is my obsession. This has been the only FPS game that has captured me in such a long time. With the combination of fast-paced, easy to learn hard to master gameplay, incredible map design, and no SBMM, the game shines with potential. The launch of season 3 and on proves that fact immensely, and yet you strip it from the hands of the players and prevent it from being played by new players. This decision is baffling and bordering on foolish. When the community is desperately calling out for an FPS game with even just a fraction of the passion and effort the developers put into this.
This was a reckless move and the company will without a doubt face more financial struggles if you don't reverse this decision.
Call of Duty is falling apart as we speak, with more players dropping it every day and are looking for another game to play. At least allow for downloads again and see how the game does after season 3.
I'm unsure if this will help anything, but I want my voice to be heard. This game rejuvenated me and reignited my joy for competitive FPS gaming. I'm afraid I may not get to experience that with a game again.
This game, has many of the features and stuff people want in a casual competitive fps game. And its not so down and out to be cancelled 7 months after its initial release.
They did many things right, some things wrong. But for a f2p shooter. Its a fun time, and so many people enjoy it, and have enjoyed it. That it would be criminal to shut it down so soon just because black ops 6 released and it saw a huge drop in players.
All they need to do, is FIX their cash shop offerings. And put stuff on there that people would want more. And not the ubisoft type stuff, they're failing for a reason. The way they do things, only appeals to a few people. So the skins reflecting that, its no doubt they had low sales.
They were so bad in fact, that I spent all my points from the ultimate founders pack, on maxing the battle pass when i didnt have time to play. Because the cash shop skins were SO UGLY.
They should not just throw this in the trash. But work to make it better, and give the people what they want. Modes with none of the powers? More attachments and ways to make the guns feel unique? Fixed netcode and 100hp for ALL factions?
There is so many ways to make it better, it would be a shame to watch it die just as its starting, i really enjoyed the wild no sbmm matches.
I truly enjoyed playing this game while it was available. Sadly, with its end, I have uninstalled it. To the developers, if you're reading this, thank you for the wonderful times. The last time I fully enjoyed a multiplayer arcade shooter was with Call of Duty: BO4. XDefiant reignited that joy, bringing back memories of those golden days. It's heartbreaking to see that Ubisoft didn’t support you when you needed it most.
Ubisoft Wake Up! XDefiant is the most brilliant, creative & entertaining fps game in almost a decade. An almost endless pool of assets, characters, stories & maps available for these amazing Devs to utilize.
Ubisoft you started out strong, open communication, allowed open creativity etc. Then you pulled the cake from the oven just as it started to take shape & have ruined what you had started. The Devs deserve so much more time than this. If we players wanted to play a rushed, broken cash grab game we'd play BO6. But we want quality & fun that's XDefiant.
Please I'm 52 & have waited 10 years for something like this. I bought your skins, because I loved the game & wanted to help. I'm here with open ears I hope you are doing the same. PS Doing this to your team before Christmas...well also a pretty shit move. Take care of your Devs they'll take care of you I promise. God bless all.
I seriously love this game and don’t want to see it shut down. Compared to games like Call of Duty, where everything feels rigged with SBMM and loaded with pay-to-win stuff, XDefiant is actually fun and fair. No forced SBMM matchmaking, no pay-to-win weapons—just pure gameplay. It’s one of the last shooters that feels made for players, and taking it away would be a huge loss for the community.
