Justice shouldn't be about what's convenient. It's disturbing that POC and that people with low income are wrongfully convicted out of a convenience to 'find' a guilty party. It's disturbing that families and marginalized communities are disrupted by their members being wrongfully incarcerated, especially since the actual perpetrator(s) are free. Please reevaluate Billie Allen's case and show the world that the US legal system correct its faults.
Thank you.
To think this man has had years of his life stolen as some sort of “justice” for atrocities in which he did not commit.. There is nothing quite as inhumane as taking a life but to dangle it in-front of him for years knowing theres evidence that could make him a free man.. Our system is a failure.
Billie Allen's case is so important because of his blatant, and almost obvious wrongful conviction. This case acts as example for the justice system's tendency of overreaction through the death penalty, and the devastating effect it has on those convicted, let alone wrongfully.
I was Dusty’s cellmate for a few years and being around him and listening and talking to him for a few years changed my life! Since I was about 13 the longest I ever stayed out of incarceration was about 8 months and I’m now going on 5 years out of prison and drug and alcohol free! This man is a great person and deserves to have his freedom! Please let my friend out so he can enjoy the rest of his life! He’s worth it!
