Please sign. I never got to meet my mother before she died. I wish I had.
I was sterilised at 27 without children. I am childfree by choice and I was fortunate enough to have been listened to, but hundreds, if not thousands, of women are not.
It's imperative that women are taken seriously when requesting sterilisation. Too often, women face barriers to the procedure, whether be due to gender, age, or childfree status. My PhD is on these issues faced by women in England in Wales and if you would like to hear about this further/ my project please email me @katesan2@liverpool.ac.uk
