The bond between mother and child is vital...

... it ensures the continuation of life in a way that benefits both mother and infant.

So why were so many babies - at least 215,000, quite likely nearer half a million - torn from the only mother they had ever known and given to strangers?

These babies were human beings who were treated as commodities. It's a travesty! A terrible injustice which has yet to be formally acknowledged.

We're campaigning for justice for all those babies, now adults living with the fallout from their traumatic loss in infancy, and for the mothers who never stopped grieving for the babies they lost.

This government could, and should, issue a formal apology, but it hasn't.
Apologies have been given in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, yet Westminster has done nothing.

We are growing older - some have already died. 
Is that why the government is waiting?

Time is running out! 

This dreadful, far-reaching injustice must be acknowledged and appropriate support made available for all those affected.
