I grew up watching Looney Tunes. I collected all the Golden Collection sets as they were released. I have a 12 year old son who has fully embraced Looney Tunes and wants to be an animator because of these great cartoons. We watch these as a family regularly. We quote them all the time. These cartoons are an important part of entertainment history. More importantly, they are entertaining for adults and families! If that’s the real motivation behind this shift, I fear the decision-makers at Max have no idea what they are talking about. Bring back Looney, Tunes, The Looney Tunes Show, and other essential animation classics!
I don't think what he's done has cut costs, I think it actually hurt the bottom line. Releasing major movies that are already finish and will draw new subscribers in such as, Batgirl, SCOOB!, and others. And removing HBO original content like West World and apparently a significant amount of cartoons from the HBO platform doesn't make any sense in any world, all it does is push subscribers away. If it weren't for The Last Of Us, I would have gotten rid of Max because they removed most of their great original content and don't really have any other current shows going for it. It's a good thing I could get Max in a bundle via somewhere else because I definitely wouldn't pay the price Max is charging for how little they're offering in terms of new and even old content. They don't seem to get big movie releases anymore since Zaslav took over, and I feel if he isn't replaced soon, so that Max can get back to why it was one of my favorite services, then they go bankrupt and lose their service all together. Normally I don't get involved in things like this and requesting someone getting fired is not something that I like, but it's something needed for the fans of any and all Max content and all WB content and the studio behind them. It's time for change.
