When I was a cast member at Disney world it would have made me smile to have gotten pictures taken of me. To take that away from current cast members is heart breaking

I had the pleasure of meeting the CastCandids team many times during my time with Disney, and they are nothing short of kind, respectful, and generous individuals. I loved their passion for capturing CMs making magic. They gave love to departments that are typically in the shadows. It was truly heartwarming, and it breaks my heart that they’re no longer able to do what they’re so passionate about.

As a cast member of Walt Disney world this is absolutely heartbreaking. We make magic for guests while some make magic for us. We don’t get a lot of magic but when it does happen it means the world. I’m so sorry for what is happening to you guys. That is so not fair. I really hope you get back up there and take as many pics as you can. And keep making the magic for cast members. It is definitely not fair that regular guests can take pics of whatever they want. And cast candids can’t??! That is absolutely mind blowing.

Many CMs may never have the chance to have photos of themselves doing what they love, and CastCandids gifted that free of charge to countless magic makers. It was a harmless project honorable to the values that the Disney brand wants to uphold.
