This light company needs investigation asap. October 24th my lights were disconnected. You have to pay the entire Bill to get your lights turn back on. Which I did. That was less than a month ago. Today I received a bill in the mail for $1,300. When I called to find out why I was told because I did not make a September or October payment. Yet in October my lights were disconnected for non-payment and reconnected for payment. It has been like this for a long time and I plan on doing my research and making sure this story is heard because the citizens of Lumberton North Carolina are being done very wrong by city of lumberton. And we have no other choice but to use them if we want power

We cannot continue to face the constantly increasing rates from AEP. This company is consistently granted approval for rate increases and they clearly do not care about the hardships that we already endure. My last electric bill was over $600 and I know some people that are approaching $1000 during these cold winter months. Why are we being asked to pay so much when we are not seeing anything more in return besides the same service and deplorable repair times when the power goes out?
We are struggling as a community and the people who we are supposed to be able to rely on are robbing us of everything we have. And continue to get rate increases. Our people have lost our homes are kids are going without power. We need someone to see us!

I bought my home in Buffalo in 2017. The highest utility bill I had during that time was roughly $260. I have done much better insulation and upgraded many of our appliances that are much more energy efficient. Right before Covid the utility company came out and installed this wireless plastic device that hangs in our basement. I swear that ever since they installed this device, without our former permission our utility bill has been averaging $335 to $370 a month, and we are constantly being charged $100 a month for sewer charges alone. All of my neighbors are also being severely overcharged as these rates are higher than anywhere else in the state? Something is seriously wrong with the amounts we are being charged, as it does not add up to actual usage? It is a serious problem that has been going on for years, and needs to be fixed immediately.
This increase is a terrible burden to us that are retired and on a fixed income with this increase maybe I should just hand over the deed to our home to the Utilities company as this just may put us into bankruptcy!!
