The senate just released a new report detailing rampant corruption in the Supreme Court, where they are blatantly taking bribes from billionaires to sell out the American people and the constitution of the United States. Those involved should be impeached, and a Code of Ethics should be enforced. They must abide by the same ethics code that we enforce with every other judge in this country.
American Imperialism leads to people believing terrible things could never happen in America. However, manifest destiny was hardly any different from building an empire, and the atrocities committed against indigenous people was hardly any different than how Jews were treated in Germany. What has happened to other countries has already happened to us, things could easily become dire.
There has been a war on the truth for quite sometime. Senior leaders of every branch have sacrificed integrity for personal benefit, and it shows. It is time for DoD IG to be independent and external to DoD; just like “Lady Justice” the DoD IG should be blind (unbiased), and follow the truth no matter where it takes them.
The structure of the system defeats the reported purpose of the system.
During my 20 year career, I have submitted two IG complaints. Nothing became of either of them, despite receiving a phone call from someone in the IGs office reaching out to tell me they agreed with me. He then added he would be unable to put that in writing or state it officially.
Even when they want to take action, they’re afraid to, because of personal/professional risk.
If the intent of the IG is to resolve issues and make the organization better it is imperative that they are insulated from command influence. Just as our government has systems of checks and balances, so should should be the IG. It has been my experience with DoDIG and DAIG that they are more focused on making grievances go away, as opposed to resolving real issues. I would be interested to see the metrics of issues filed and what percentage actually resulted in a change in the organization.
