TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) is a crucial strategy in addressing the issue of stray and feral cat populations. TNVR programs work to humanely trap, neuter, vaccinate, and return these cats to their colonies, preventing further breeding and improving their overall health and welfare. Petitions under this topic often advocate for increased funding and support for TNVR initiatives, as well as promoting awareness and education about the benefits of this approach.
One notable petition calls for local governments to allocate more resources to TNVR programs, highlighting the success stories of communities that have effectively implemented these initiatives. Another petition highlights the importance of regular vaccinations for feral cats to prevent the spread of diseases and ensure their well-being.
By exploring the petitions on TNVR, individuals can learn about the impact of these programs on animal welfare and contribute to creating more humane solutions for managing stray and feral cat populations. Join the movement to support TNVR and make a positive change for these vulnerable animals.
Please, I’ve donated thousands of dollars to associations to tag and protect Morocco’s stray dogs from the USA, hoping to give them a chance at life. But it breaks my heart to learn these same dogs- ones I fought to save- are being rounded up and culled in places like Al Arjat and Hay Mohammadi. All that money, all that hope, just to see them die anyway. I cry over this. This has to stop where did the 87 million dollars go and why are these animals still suffering? I plead for an investigation into these funds. How can we trust that anything will change if money meant to save lives possibly ends up in corrupt hands? In America these are normal questions to ask to see numbers and results. The global community deserves to know the truth. These are not just Moroccos dogs they are also the worlds dogs , beloved by all of us and our creator. They are crying out for their lives to be spared!
People who do Trap/Neuter/Release are reducing the number of homeless cats.
TNR has been proven to make a big difference by managing this problem rather than
killing these innocent cats who are in dire situations and fighting for survival. This
horrible situation is the result of people failing to neuter/spay their pets and often
simply abandoning pets when it suits them. Many municipalities work with residents
for the benefit of everyone…especially the cats. Give this a try rather than wholesale
slaughter.
Members of the community who actively care for the community cats also participate in Trapping/Neutering/Releasing them to avoid overpopulation and care for these animals. By banning feeding them you're only contributing to the problem, not making a solution where there are plenty of organizations and community members who already participate in ensuring the welfare of these animals.
TNR works. Thousands of dedicated people all over the world trap, rescue, and return ferals. These are people who are responsible and care for animals. They are resolute in the conviction these animals are
innocent and are in their homeless situation because
of humans discarding them. The easy and inhumane
way out of this situation is to ignore the ferals and
let them starve to death ... or step up and do the right
thing .
As a Floridian of thirty years, I have seen with my own eyes that Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) works. By not allowing feeding community cats, and by virtue of that not allowing TNR, you are upsetting a naturally occurring pest-control ecosystem that has worked for more years than any of you have been on this earth. The community cats are G-d's creatures same as we humans are. Let the community cats live!
These cats are victims of a society who has let them down, we cannot abandon them. Thays not the way to solve the problem, feeders aren't the problem, the problem are those who feed and don't trap them to get fix, what feels right is not the same as doing the right thing. These cats are hunters and will start eating the native wildlife like birds, lizards and other species. Whoever thinks this is the way to go about it needs to re evaluate their entire existence.
