I tried 4 times this week to get Sabrina Carpenter tickets, 3 pre-sales and the general public sale. For both cash-app and team sabrina pre-sales, I found an issue immediately with being in line behind more people than the stadium could fit (48,000-82,000). In the waiting queue, everyone got a message saying tickets were priced from $50-$500, which got mine and a lot of others hopes up. When I got into the cash-app sale, I found lower bowl tickets in the section I was eyeing, for $150. The problem is that when I clicked it and went to check out as fast as I could, it randomly increased to $500 tickets for 1 ticket. When trying to back out and find more seats, they were disappearing within seconds until there were none left. I was so devastated, and confused why the tickets jumped that much, so I went on Tiktok and found out that it wasn’t only me who went through this. To my understanding, dynamic pricing was on (WHICH artists have to option to turn off) and so the more people clicked on a certain area, the more expensive the tickets got. The other pre-sales were even worse, with only a few tickets being available in nosebleed for $300-$800 (these disappeared in seconds as well). I felt like I have wasted my time FIGHTING for tickets this week. Ticketmaster screwed so many fans over, I don’t understand why artists are still using this platform to sell tickets. What really got me upset, was seeing that some people desperately bought nosebleed tickets for $1K, while a handful of others got theirs for original ticket value ($100-200) for lower bowl seating, even pit. That isn’t fair at all. Something else to mention, is how other concert websites (Seatgeek, Stubhub, etc) have reselling tickets in every section, when the artist announced that all the shows were sold out. This whole set-up was poor planned, straight up rigged, and money grabbing for Ticketmaster. Clearly, bots and scalpers are more important to them. It honestly feels like a joke that I even tried to get them in the first place, I am disgusted by the greed. Last year, Sabrina performed on my birthday in my city, I didn’t get tickets because I live paycheck to paycheck. I wanted to surprise my mom and I with tickets, since this time it would be in between both our birthdays, neither of us have been to a concert before. As someone who barely gets by, who worked hard for ticket money, just to be bummed and defeated by the end. Disappointment is an understatement. This was my first and last time I tried Ticketmaster. This needs to stop. We need to hold not only Ticketmaster, but Artists accountable for continuing to support and use Ticketmaster. Performers know what this company is doing, yet allowing it which is disrespectful and greedy to fans. We deserve to go to a concert and not take out a loan to do so, we deserve to go to a concert without having to buy from a reseller, we deserve concerts to support our artists. This needs to change. Thank you for making this petition and allowing me to share my first and last experience with Ticketmaster.

Ticketmaster/ Live Nation is profiting on the original sale and on a percentage of the resale. They openly inviting the resale of tickets at a higher price for their own profit. There is no cap on the price of resale tickets. It was illegal to scalp tickets at concerts and events and now we have openly accepted this as how the market is today. There needs to be a percentage cap on the price of the resale of a ticket based on the face value of the ticket. We also need to push for a flat fee amount capped on what Ticketmaster/Live Nation or other vendors can charge and profit from in the resale of tickets.

Concerts should not be once-a-year purchases. Live music should be accessible for all people! Please end the monopoly that Ticketmaster/Live Nation has on the concert industry. Let venues sell their own tickets that aren’t immediately scalped and re-sold on Ticketmaster. Music is so impactful - it is the joy of people’s lives. Concerts bring so much positivity into peoples lives - please allow people to afford seeing live music again.

$100 added to two NHL tickets cannot be justified. Ticketmaster is also limiting the hours an arenas box office is open making it difficult to go directly to buy tickets and avoid the outrageous surcharge. Please expose the politicians that allow for Ticketmaster to rob us. If someone is willing to pay the charge does not legitimize Ticketmaster to continue to add a charge they can no way justify.
