I live 2 blocks from where this crime took place and I think it is unbelievable that the victims of this crime should even have to ask for justice!!! What the hell is wrong with our public officials that they have to be convinced to do the right thing??!!! Please keep the public informed as to the outcome of this matter. If justice is not served I for one would like to know because it would affect who I would or would not vote for in the next election. Let the public know who these people making this decision are. If they do not serve their community by listening to what their constituents are petitioning for then make your voice heard by voting them out of office!!! This is America and as long as we still have voting power we can affect a change. This criminal should not be allowed to get away with a 'slap on the wrist' for such a cruel and senseless act. But the greater crime would be if those who hold the power to consider his punishment would allow him to. Please keep us posted as to the outcome.

For the trust and comfort to be made with these innocent pups, with intention of breaking it, leaves a scar that can only be healed by God. I hope that justice is done. Justice that is the rightful consequences to such a terrible action. Something that should have never happened and shouldn't become appealing to do it again if discipline isn't enforced at the level that matches the crime. God cares about His creatures and created them for us to love and be loved by them.

This act of violence was well known throughout the town when it happened; Jax and Diesel were well recognized and known throughout the town as they lived in the heart of our small town at the time of this violent and senseless act. Through information provided during the search for the culprit, the following police reports, and public records, it is obvious this attack was done in cold blood with no remorse. It was done purely to inflict pain, suffering, and fear onto a small American community. This heinous and cruel attack on two animals within the confines of their own home for no reason other than the culprits' desire to cause pain and death should be viewed as an act of terrorism; an act of violence and cruelty towards two well known animals of a small town community to inflict pain and fear upon that community. The murder of Jax, and assault of Diesel has affected more than just the family; it has affected the community. Since the court will not recognize this act for the terrorism it is, I ask that it at least impose the maximum penalty allowed for such an unprovoked, violent, cruel, and senseless act so that the rest of our community can feel a little bit safer, and the family can find the tiniest bit of justice for the violent loss of their beloved family member.

We have pets and I am sure others in our town were worried about theirs. If this person can commit a sensless act of violence against a pet, in my opinion, it is just a matter time before he does it to a person, and who knows how many times he has killed someone elses pet. I am so glad they found the person responsible and hope he gets the maximum penalty.

The perpetrator committed a senseless crime and deserves punishment! At the very basic destruction of property to the obvious "taking a life". If another dog would have killed Jax, the dog would have been put down as a danger to society. This human is a danger to society!

It is your duty as a public officer to protect the people, and this community by giving the maximum sentence and demonstrating that you will not tolerate such violence.
