Animal abuse should be considered a crime. No living being deserves to suffer or be treated like trash. There are countless resources to be able to forfeit an animal and resorting to violence against a helpless animal is just disgusting.

The only way to respond to a crime like this, is to make sure that the person who committed it, is placed in a situation that keeps them from hurting others, whether they be animals or human beings. A crime like this, that is not dealt with to the highest order in the courts, puts out the wrong message to any community that has a crime like this occur.
Please take into consideration the fact that the multiple stabbing of this innocent creature was a cruel, inhuman, and done without any feelings attached to the life that they brutally stabbed.

I believe that people who commit acts of abuse to innocent animals can become abusive or violent towards human beings. I believe this act of cruelty towards Boo-boo was a precursor of what may happen to this family and in a way with divine intervention the cat ultimately saved this family. We need to prosecute individuals to the full extent of the law not only to protect innocent animals but also our communities from violent perpetrators.
