The topic of stopping euthanasia is significant as it involves the ethical and moral debate surrounding end-of-life decisions. Recent events have highlighted the need for clear guidelines and protocols for euthanasia to prevent abuse and ensure patient autonomy. Petitions under this topic focus on advocating for stricter regulations, safeguarding vulnerable populations, and promoting palliative care options.
One petition with over 100,000 signatures calls for comprehensive legislation to prevent wrongful deaths through euthanasia and protect individuals who may be coerced into ending their lives prematurely. Another petition highlights the importance of mental health support and palliative care services as alternatives to euthanasia in managing end-of-life pain and suffering.
By exploring the petitions on stopping euthanasia, individuals can contribute to the dialogue on compassionate end-of-life care and supporting those facing difficult decisions. Take action to uphold human dignity and advocate for comprehensive care options for those in need.
Healthy animals are NEVER euthanized, they are killed.Euthanization is for ending suffering that will never get better but only worse, killing is just killing. It is not their fault they are homeless and they are not disposable objects but are living and feeling beings. It is imperative to have low cost spay/neuter clinics with a lot of outreach, education, stronger laws, and TNR for cats. Also, canine racism should never be considered acceptable, thus the killing of so many allegedly "dangerous" dogs.
Instead of a "kill shelter," ACCT needs to be a "'til they all find a home" shelter! This would also ensure that any pets whose owners do not know they are there will have extra, ample time to find them and bring them home!
As an avid dog liver and dog mom to many dogs over the years I'm deeply concerned about animal welfare . ACCT PHILLY is a haven for dogs and cats , however it's not in the best interest of the animals . Yes I get overcrowding and all the issues they face caring for these animals , but instead of killing them for space just to kill more that's not the answer . As stated in this petition we have to do better . These animals didn't ask to be dumped . Let's look at all the improvements of this pet and hope to improve these animals lives not just kill them . It's a mountain to climb with issues stemming from people not being able to afford their pets . You need to chose between putting food on the table , paying the bills or surrendering your animal . I for one who lives on a fixed income would never put myself before my pets -- they are family . Don't really know how to achieve this goal , but in reality it's all about a people problem that causes the animal problem .I think it's time to try to band together to see if we can do better by following the agenda outlined in this petition. Also stop breeding so many animals for profit. Which really goes well with the adopt don't shop theory. Our country is in turmoil with rising costs everywhere . Vet costs run high people can't afford it . Let's find a solution to low cost vet care, and responsible pet ownership . These animals count on us . Let's fight for them . Cause there has to be a better way 😌 ✨️!!!
