During a housing crisis, which seems to have no end in sight, the NSW Government should allow people to live on vacant land so long as they are peaceful, don't leave their rubbish everywhere for someone else to clean up, and live in a harmonious environment with other residents. This situation in the Warrawong Community seems to be ideal and I don't understand why the NSW Government has given the residents 28 days to relocate when there is a housing crisis all over Australia.

I met with some of this community today and they are in despair as there is no where else to go. This is a perfect and convenient position for some of our most vulnerable as it’s close to everything. One lady I recently befriended lives in a tent and has no income, as she is not an Australian citizen. she was considered taking her own life this week after receiving this eviction notice. I’m grateful I went there to check on her today. I’ve offered a number of times for her to come and stay with me. But she needs her own space. Does anyone have a spare granny flat for her to stay in rent free.
As a survivor of domestic violence, I know just how hard it is to find a safe place to live and raise your children. I feel for these poor people and everyone else who has been screwed over by the state and federal governments within Australia!
We cannot lose the green wedge areas. Think of the future generations and how much we lose with the loss of our unique fauna, flora, and quiet country life.
