Community theatres are incredibly important for community cohesion and ensuring that communities that access to theatre so that it is not a luxury for the few but a source of inspiration, joy, and happiness for the many.
Will apoyó esta petición: Save Blackheath Community Theatre!Drama classes at The Conservatoire have meant everything for my son. Simon Geal has been the catalyst to completely change the direction of his life. Due to Simon’s drama lessons , my son was accepted into one of the most prestigious theatre schools in the country, and has just completed his first West End contract. None of this would have happened without Simon, and his lessons and courses at The Conservatoire. We owe everything to these courses, and it’s so sad other children (or adults) will not have these wonderful opportunities. I really don’t understand the reason for cutting these courses.

Fostering personal growth and building connections through shared experience. We need more of these opportunities not less. Cutting this offer is short sighted and culturally dull.

I had the opportunity to be in the project for only 2 terms and play in 2 performances. This helped me improve my psychological state confidence, skills communication and managing emotions. And most importantly, it's a place where I met many wonderful friends and support

Being a member of theatre groups was hugely important to me in my youth and provides a rare outlet for social interaction and a sense of belonging that cannot be substituted by other activities.
