The Chartwell Cancer Trust has heard from patients, families, clinicians, volunteers and supporters. Together, their stories have highlighted the value of specialist local care close to home, the importance of family presence, the hidden burdens that patients and families carry, and the difference practical support can make when life is turned upside down by cancer. They remind us why this fight matters - and why continued community support is so important.

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is preparing revised proposals that would remove inpatient haematology cancer care from PRUH and centralise it at Denmark Hill. We believe this would be a dangerous and deeply damaging decision for local patients and families.

Now we are asking our community to keep speaking up. If you have not yet added your name, please do so today. We are also urging local residents to write to their MP and councillors, asking them to support the retention of inpatient haematology cancer care at PRUH.

Please read Michael’s final appeal, share our petition, and consider contacting local  MPs and councillors.
