Demand the London Fire Service to Terminate the Pension of Convicted Paedophile Brian Doye

The Issue

In the heart of London, a terrible injustice takes place. A convicted, imprisoned paedophile continues to receive his Fire Service Pension despite the heinous crimes he committed – crimes that led to his 28-year prison sentence in May 2024. I know this because the criminal I speak of is my biological father, who was found guilty on 28 counts of child and historical sexual abuse against three victims, two of the victims were myself and my brother. The other victim he sexually abused when he was in his 70s.

This isn't just my story. This speaks to a concern that extends beyond me. Why should taxpayers' money continue to fund the comfortable retirement of a man who will spend the rest of his days behind bars? A man who is unlikely to ever step foot outside prison again, as he is already 77 years old?

We urgently need the London Fire Service to reflect on its policies and ensure that individuals guilty of severe criminal conduct, particularly those with life-altering consequences on the victims, are barred from benefiting from pensions funded by the public. While we acknowledge the right for individuals to be supported in their retirement, someone guilty of such vile actions should not have that privilege.

It is a moral imperative for the London Fire Service to immediately halt the pension being paid out in this particular case. Every pound paid is as though they are supporting his destructive past actions, a past that has left scars on his victims that will never truly heal.

We ask, we plead, and we demand that justice be served not just in the courtroom, but also in the provisions of this pension. It's time for the London Fire Service to demonstrate a commitment to community, compassion, and respect for victims. Do the right thing - stop this pension now. Sign our petition and let your voice be heard on this critical matter.

Thank you for taking the time to read my petition.

Numerous media pieces have been written about our vile father as my brother and I have waivered the right to anonymity. So we can share our personal story and encourage other victims of child and historical child sexual abuse come forward and speak out.

We establish our non-profitable organisation after our fathers sentencing on 24th April 2024 which will provide help, advice and support to victims of child sexual abuse and their families. We will instill hope, empower survivors and advocate for justice.Together, through our collective efforts and unwavering support secure a brighter future for those impacted by such profound trauma.
