As the largest IPS league in the nation, we have the singular privilege of being at a complex that is able to accommodate our large number of teams, and we can have all of our games in a single day at a single field. This is a boon to our league, and is something we are proud of. Having been patrons of these fields for years now, we would be saddened to have to move fields that better accommodate us, and we really do not want to leave. Please do not make this a permanent thing, and find a temporary solution that can be put up for children's games, and then removed for adults to continue to use the fields.
Please do not change these fields! They play such a huge part in many people’s life’s. It’s a safe space for many of our lgbtq+ members and a home to the largest softball league around . A place we share to not only play softbal, but also a place we share laughter, compassion and love for eachother AND the sports. Please reconsider this change
My son tore a ligament in his hand last fall. A thumb guard was recommended by his Dr in order to get back into playing. This ban is uneducated and short sighted. But again, there have been several questionable decisions by LLI in recent years. They have been adamant about specific bats and gear to wear for safety. This piece if equipment is more for preventing injuries and safety. It does nothing to "enhance" the bat.
