Skin cancer is a pressing health concern worldwide, with increasing rates of diagnosis and mortality. The harmful effects of UV radiation, tanning beds, and inadequate sun protection contribute to the rising cases of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers. Petitions on Change.org addressing this topic focus on raising awareness, promoting sun safety education, and advocating for regulations on indoor tanning.
One impactful petition urges legislatures to ban indoor tanning for minors, highlighting the link between UV exposure and skin cancer risk. Another petition calls for implementing stricter regulations on sunscreen labeling to ensure consumers have accurate information about sun protection.
Join the movement to combat skin cancer by supporting these petitions and taking action to protect your skin. Together, we can promote a culture of sun safety and reduce the prevalence of skin cancer in our societies.
I’ve had numerous basil & squamous cell carcinomas. It’s important to have alternatives to painful and extended recovery surgeries. Gentle cure is a wonderful remedy and we need to have this option.
I have had several SCC removed by surgery- leaving scars & out of pocket expenses . Surely in the long run having non surgical treatment that has a better long term result is better all round.
I have had numerous procedures to remove different cancers from my skin after being an avid Florida sun bather in my youth, not knowing the consequences. I started with Melanoma and a Mohs procedure in 2009; since then I have experienced the complete variety. My last procedure was painful and I am riddled with scars from procedures. This last procedure became infected and kept me from my water aerobic activity for a month, which I normally workout every day. I'm told I need a Mohs procedure on my leg where it becae infected. Tired of the painful procedures, scaring and dry land. Jackie
I have had multiple skin cancers removed. starting in my late 20s, and have one on my forehead that my dermatologist just told me needs Mohs. I am glad to have found an alternative that won’t require surgery, stitches in my forehead and another scar.
It is ridiculous that Medicare and insurance would even consider taking coverage of this FDA cleared option off the table and remove a viable option for people like me who already have 15+ scars on my body from skin cancer. Sign the petition and say no to removing this option from coverage.
People need a choice when it comes to surgery, especially when the cancer is on your face and arms. Facial surgery is scary for seniors and we need to be covered for other options after paying for insurance all our life
I’m 83 and having numerous freezes, regular surgery and MOH’s A safe alternative would be Godsend.
It would be a great Medicare benefit for us living on Social Security
