Emily Hollis is a close friend of mine and it truly enraged me to find out that they labeled her, a minor, as a runaway when they knew she was with an older guy. I don't want any parents, friends, or families of other children to have to deal with cases being dismissed as "runaways"
It's time to stop the medical kidnapping of our US babies and kids every so called health agency has turned into quasy police state, CPS incentives to take children from homes make up their own rules don't consider constitutional rights, bankrupt parents who fight for their kids, foster homes turn into nightmares death, rape, starvation or power , reunification is not in the picture it's a very messed up system hurting parents, children for the rest of their lives..schools also March kids to probation, prison model the so called help agies are no help at all, everything is set up to divide families
My kids were removed due to coercion from foster parents and CPS workers, the judge found text messages proving this overlooked it. My children were sex trafficked out on the Internet while in a foster home while family court covered it up along with their attorneys and judges district attorney’s office and children’s advocacy center. It wasn’t until my wife made a report to the FBI when she seen the videos at the DAs office with her attorney and then contacted the Attorney General of Texas. My children finally got removed out of that home. we completed all classes all recommendations and still never got our kids back still fighting even after mediation. This happened in Denton, Texas.
My family was wrongfully accused which resulted in my younger two kids being taken from our custody for 3.5 years. There was never any criminal charges, juvenile court was dissmissed. My youngest was taken into states care solely for being born in the middle of a dcfs case, they told us there was zero worries about abuse and asked us how it would look on the state if the let us keep this one when they had one in theor custody. The one in their custody was misdiagnosed with abuse, when really she was born with a medical condition the child abuse pediatrician refused to look into. They claimed we bruised her, yet the hospital she was transfered from had zero bruising or redness in their records, another thing the child abuse pediatrician refused to look at. We had multiple second opinions all coming back to the same medical reasoning being the issue, dcfs didn't take those into consideration. During covid dcfs refused to let us have our visits with our kids for roughly 7 months even after my state made an order that covid was to not be a reason to prevent parenting time. In the end we appealed dcfs finding and the alj came back with an apology to us and said dcfs got the case wrong, there was never any abuse and the claimed brusing was more likley the accusing hospitals doing than ours. As before our child got there and after there was zero bruising seen. The hospital kicked us out and left our baby with no parent or gurdian present for days, before any court or removal of child from our care happened by dcfs or a judge. There's obviously alot.more to our case, but that is a brief overview of the nightmare our family was put through. Many of our rights as parents were ripped from us, as well as many of our children's rights from them. All because no one wanted to throughly investigate or tale real experts opinions seriously.
Testimony for Petition: End CPS and Family Court Abuse
As a mother and someone in recovery, I’ve seen firsthand how the family court and CPS system can devastate—not help—loving parents who struggle with addiction. In Arizona, parents who battle substance abuse are too often villainized as abusive or neglectful without actual evidence of mistreatment. Simply admitting to addiction is enough to lose your children forever, even if you’re actively seeking help and showing up for treatment.
Other states like New York take a more compassionate, evidence-based approach—supporting parents who are actively participating in recovery and recognizing that keeping families together can actually fuel long-term sobriety. But in Arizona, no such grace is given. The focus is solely on the addiction, not on how the child is actually being treated or whether the parent is improving.
What’s even more painful is the inconsistency in how the Department of Child Safety operates. I personally know of parents who were allowed to go into residential treatment with their infants—yet when I begged for the same opportunity, I was denied. There is no clear standard, no fairness. Decisions feel arbitrary and rooted in bias, not in compassion or best practices.
Even worse, the system completely ignored my spiritual beliefs. As a Christian who loves Jesus and lives by the Word, I believe deeply that no man should separate what God has brought together—especially the sacred bond between a parent and their child. That bond is not just emotional—it’s spiritual. Yet my beliefs were dismissed entirely, and my family was torn apart by people who never once considered what that loss meant to my soul.
When I gave birth to my daughter Cadence, my husband and I were already in recovery. We delivered at home out of fear of losing her to a system we had come to fear. When a mental health crisis happened, I made sure our daughter was safe with trusted friends while I got help for my husband. Instead of support, I was met with threats, deception, and ultimately, the removal of my baby—without a hearing, without placement input, and without any real chance to fight for her.
The system claimed to protect children, but what it really did was destroy the only thing keeping me grounded—my bond with my baby. I became homeless, hopeless, and heartbroken.
CPS and DCS must stop criminalizing addiction and start recognizing the humanity, effort, and love of parents who are trying to do better. Real reform means real compassion, spiritual respect, and consistent support—not punishment, not bias, and not ripping families apart when healing is possible.
My family was victimized by DCFS. They lied often, committed perjury, and their prosecutor committed fraud, but they are “protected”. Meanwhile they tear families apart for months or years, to get the win. Winning doesn’t matter, families do, our children do.
