Being Female it’s reassuring and you feel a whole lot safer if you know the Driver is keeping an eye out. It’s disgusting to think that helping someone comes to you losing your job. It epitomises how the perpetrators are on the right side of the law, so sad.
If I was robbed on public transport I would be so grateful that the bus driver leapt to my aid. Mark should be commended and rewarded not fired for his public service. Metroline 's action is shameful and wrong.
I am a Former Metroline Potters Bar driver . Did this for 5 years and can confirm They never take the side of their drivers when ever an incident takes place. Mark should not have lost his job he should have instead received a commendation from the company.
Metroline, if you fire drivers for protecting their passengers like this then you risk creating a culture were commuters are to be left to the wolves to fend for themselves. We need more bus drivers like this, not less.
Even if India can ensure the safety of Bangladeshi players, what about the safety of Bangladeshi supporters and journalists? The ICC previously acknowledged a moderate to high security risk for them. When India raised security concerns, the ICC changed the venue immediately. Why is the same standard not being applied to Bangladesh? The ICC must act neutrally and consistently.
